How much Osmocote is needed for indoor plants?
Hi Marianne, how much Osmocote can I use on my indoor plants? I have a peace lily, a ponytail palm, and one other large plant (can’t recall its name now!) All are fairly large plants. If you need a picture, I can send one.

When it comes to how much fertilizer to use on any plant the best advice is to read and follow the amounts recommended on the fertilizer label. For Osmocote Plus Outdoor and Indoor the amount is 1/2 the outdoor rate for indoor plants. This means one half of a cap full or 1.5 tablespoons for each 2 gallon pot for indoor plants. The size of your container will determine how much Osmocote to use. Your first job is to determine what size pots your plants are growing in. The average houseplant is given one tablespoon of Osmocote every year. All the houseplants you mentioned above will thrive with the right amount of Osmocote plant food. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
