Marianne's Response
Sungron-question
Is there any practical way to eradicate mushrooms in a lawn, or anything I can do to prevent their return next year?

You just need to improve your drainage - aerate, add dolomite lime and fertilize in the fall to make sure the lawn gets a good spring start. Sometimes mushrooms grow because there is something buried underground - a chunk of wood or leather usually. Just kick over any mushrooms as they sprout and remember that they need dampness so improved drainage helps.
Keep growing,
