I have never attempted soybeans myself but I did find a great source of this nutritious bean that is bred for Northern climate so should do well in your area of Washington. It is called Fiskeby soybean a Swedish variety and can be ordered from Seed Savers Exchange. Go to www.seedsavers.org to order their catalog.
