How big are the holes in your rose leaves? Do the leaves turn yellow before falling off? Are the rose plants leafless and stems still green or have they turned black? Sending a photo will help me solve the mystery. There is a fungal disease called shot hole disease that causes holes in the leaves and also some pests such as tiny green worms, slugs and snails that eat rose leaves. There is also a leaf cutting bee that removes sections of rose leaves. If your rose plant has poor drainage and poor air circulation I would guess that shot hole disease is the blame.
