How lucky are you! Tulips as cut flowers make a colorful bouquet but they are a rather unique vase flower as the stems continue to grow after they are cut and bend or curve toward a light source. To make them last change the vase water every day, keep the blooms cool especially at night by placing the vase of tulips in the frig or cool garage in the evening.  Turn the vase just a bit at least once a day if the tulips are bending too much toward a light source. Most important, enjoy the fleeting beauty of cut flowers by taking a photo or just taking a moment to focus on the incredible beauty, color and structure of flowers up close.
