zepplin-question
I live in Enumclaw at the bottom of Mt. Peak on 284th and we raise alpacas. We have a ground cover that I believe is Lily of the Valley and it is a nuisance! Also it is very toxic to alpacas and I can’t put them in this pasture until I can somehow kill it off with something organic that will not harm the alpacas. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Use the smother method. Lay down cardboard or newspaper then cover with 6 to 8 inches of compost, manure, grass clippings or other mulch. No light and these bulbs will rot and die out. I also have lots of fragrant lily of the valley - but they grow in a dry shade situation so don't spread as fast. Keep growing - and enjoy all that lovely alpaca manure. Marianne Binetti
