patricia6185’s Question

I purchased a small Prayer plant in February of this year and repotted it in a small ceramic pot. It looks like it has out grown the pot and the stems are becoming long and empty not full. I think the pot is to small can I pot the plant in a larger pot now?

Yes, you can repot houseplants any time of year. Just don't go to a new pot that is more than two or three sizes larger than the original container. So if your plant is in a six inch pot, move up to an 8 inch pot not one 12 inches across. This way your plant won't be floundering in too much potting soil that stays damp for too long. I use Osmocote Indoor Outdoor in all my houseplants as it is released slowly to the plant. A good potting soil and drainage holes in the new pot is also important. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
