There are many reasons for failure to grow. The bulbs need some moisture in the soil so perhaps the soil dried out. They also need good drainage so if the soil was too wet they would rot. Mold on the bulbs could also cause them to rot. Perhaps you can dig up the bulbs now and see if they are soft and mushy from rot or hard and dry from lack of water. If you cannot find the bulbs then suspect mice or voles as the thieves. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
