Little green balls on Eremurus plant
My Eremurus is finished blooming and now has lots of little green balls where it had flowers. I would like to propagate it. What do I do? Carol Roenicke

Propagating this unusual plant can be a challenge but that is part of the fun. You can collect the green balls and place them into a paper bag in a dry spot. Once the seeds are ripe they will split open and you can collect them. In the spring sow them on top of potting soil in a pot indoors on a sunny windowsill. Move the seedlings outdoors when the weather warms and when they have several leaves each. Protect from slugs and if you are lucky you will enjoy a new crop of this unusual plant - a favorite in English gardens. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
