Brown leaves on strawberries
Hi Marianne,
My strawberry bed has browned leaves in it. Should I trim them back? What is best for strawberries in the Pacific Northwest?

Yes, cutting off the brown leaves from your strawberry plants will help to avoid disease - but if you skip this job you will most likely still get a good crop. In our cool summer climate strawberries such as 'Tillikum' and 'Quinalt' for everbearing and 'Hood' and 'Rainier' for June bearing plants. I see lots of shortcake in your future. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
