How to plant seeds in mulch

How should seeds be planted when mulch is in place? Simply move it aside?

Yes, just move the mulch aside and plant into the soil at the depth recommended for the seed. Then once the seedlings are about two inches tall move the mulch closer to the young plants but do not let the mulch pile up around the seedling stems until they are sturdy and showing at least two sets of true leaves. Just as with humans, we need to baby the new born seedlings. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
