Tips for growing tender sweet corn
Please advise the best method of growing the very tender and sweet sweet corn. What I grew this year was large tough kernels and I fed it to the animals.
Are there special varieties? How about fertilizer and watering?

It may sound corny but there really are special super sweet corn varieties. One is called KandycKorn and another called Super Sweet and there are other varieties bred to be sweet to the taste instead of just animal fodder. Check out the seed catalogs or the seed racks at your local nursery in the spring - if it doesn't say something sweet in the name keep looking! Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
