How to plant a new Hydrangea bush
What is the best method for planting my new hydrangeas (approx. 4-5 gallons) and how much Osmocote should be applied?

Hydrangeas are easy to add to the garden. Water the plant well so it slips out of the container and place it in the planting hole so that it is sitting at the same level it was in the pot. Hydrangeas like a site where they are shaded from the hot afternoon sun, and they also like compost worked into the planting hole. For a large plant in a 5-gallon pot I would add 5 teaspoons of Osmocote into the planting hole. Firm the soil around the roots gently - do not stomp on the soil. You should enjoy beautiful blooms this very summer.
Keep growing,
