Marianne's Response
In my vegetable garden, where is best to use cedar mulch?
Can I use cedar mulch for my veggie garden?

Yes, but use the mulch only in the rows between the crops. Cedar is oily and repels water as well as fleas - but it can keep rain from the roots of your plants so don't place it on top of the root zone of your plants. Wood chips from trees other than cedars has less oil and will break down in a couple of years - cedar chips will not break down for 5 to 7 years so be careful where you use it. Cedar mulch on top of pathways is a great material for keeping down weeds.
Keep growing,
