I’m noticing in some locations of the yard mushrooms are growing. In another spot mushrooms have taken over. When I pull these ones up they poof. What can I do to control the mushrooms and protect my plants?

No worries. The mushrooms and pouf balls are just fungus among us and do not harm plants. Rain, manure and rotting wood encourage mushrooms. Rake them up if you must but ignore them and they will go away. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
