Marianne's Response

Roxiana’s Question

I make loose leaf tea every day and put the used leaves in with my compost. Would this compost be okay to use in planting my rhododendrons (mixing with the soil) and also would it be fine adding it into my veggie garden?

Thank you

Marianne's Response

Tea and coffee gleanings are both excellent for mixing into you compost and around your rhododendrons. As a bonus any traces of caffeine will help repel slugs. They hate cafffience - preferring to remain sluggish. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti .
