Marianne's Response

woltzen’s Question

Hi, as a follow up to the laurel hedge question, you asked why I wanted to trim them. It’s because they have started to intrude on my perennial garden. So I only need to trim one side of the hedge.

Marianne's Response

Good reason - in a few years you can make the perennial bed wider as the roots from the laurel hedge will start stealing real estate. Laurel is a great hedge as it survives even in dry shade and is evergreen, but it can be invasive. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
