Marianne's Response
TomandLinda’s Question
I remember you mentioning at one time that heavenly bamboo can be cut back. Ours is almost up to the gutters on the first story of our home. If we cut it down about half way will it survive the pruning?

Marianne's Response
Yes, Nandina domestica or Heavenly Bamboo can be pruned to one foot stumps and it will regrow in just one season. Do not prune until spring when you see signs of new growth. This is usually when you see daffodils in bloom. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
