Hi! I’m new to starting my own annual flowers as seeds indoors. Should I place a couple of granules of Osmocote in with the seeds or not use it until they are seedlings? Thanks!

Great question. It is best to wait until seedlings have sprouted and have two \"true\" leaves before fertilizing. The first two leaves that sprout from a seed are the seed leaves and the second pair of leaves are the true leaves. Most seedlings will not need extra plant food until the true leaves appear.
