Can Osmocote Outdoor & Indoor Feed Perennials?
Osmocote Flower and Vegetable was recommended by my landscaper so I bought it. I discovered that I needed more. I bought the 8 pound bag of Outdoor and Indoor Plus because the store did not have the 8 pound bag of Flower and Vegetable. I have a backyard with a large area that won’t grow grass well. I have begun to convert it to a large garden. I have planted a lot of perennials. What is the difference between the two products. Is there any advantage in using one over the other?

Both formulas work in most situations. Outdoor & Indoor is recommended for use with container plants and annuals. Flower & Vegetable is best for plants in beds where strong roots matter, like vegetables, shrubs and trees. In your case, the purchase of Outdoor & Indoor has the added advantage of bringing micro-nutrients to the feeding of your perennials. Given the inability to grow grass, the soil is likely deficient in many if not all nutrients, including micros. Learn more about Osmocote at plantersplace.com/products/formula. Keep growing!
