Magnolia
The magnolia in our yard was planted long before we purchased our home 50 years ago. It’s a bit unusual as it blooms twice a year, once in April before the leaves appear loaded with hundreds of blooms and again in August, not near as many blooms but always a showstopper. In this morning Seattle Times there is a photo of what looks to be just like ours A Magnolia x soulangeana but in researching online they mention nothing about it blooming twice. Have you any knowledge about magnolias blooming twice in one year?

Wow - you have an unusual magnolia that likes to give encore performances. I have not heard of this before but do know that when some flowering trees or shrubs are in the perfect location, they will bloom a second time when the autumn weather is to their liking. Do you use any fertilizer or is their a lawn nearby that is fertilized? Looks like one happy magnolia so congrats. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
