Marianne's Response

What’s this little beauty?

I potted up a bunch of plants 2 1/2 years ago when we moved from one home and am just now able to get them in the ground after just completing construction on a new home. This little cutie came up as a surprise along with another plant I had transplanted from a shade container. Can you help me identify it? Thanks.

My best guess is your blue bloom is from vinca minor or periwinkle. The clue is that it came from the shade and vinca loves the shade and as a groundcover plant this vine is a real survivor and has the habit of popping up in surprising places. Congrats on the new home and enjoy this shade loving groundcover plant under trees, spilling over the sides of containers or on the shaded side of your house. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
