Red oak bloom late and leaves are deformed?
I lived in Zone 9 I planted 5 years ago a read oak , for the 1st time this year the leaves didn’t bloom until late spring it was at 1st like stop in time ,but then when leave started appearing there where I’d shape or huge!; It’s all this normal?

Wow - if you mean the foliage is a different color and larger than normal than I suspect your red oak was a grafted tree and the top half has died and the lower root stalk has taken over and you now will have a common green oak tree. It is up to you if you want to keep this tree or not. It will be fast growing but not as attractive as the original tree. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
