Hydrangeas
My hydrangea is well established; however, the flowers only partially bloom. The bud begins to blossom with the small blue flowers and then, stops flowering so it never has the full flower completed. Can you offer any advice as to what I need to feed this hydrangea to make the blooming complete?
Thanks so much,
Cindy

Hi Cindy, It sounds like you have a "lace cap" hydrangea a newer variety that does not ever fully open as the center buds are sterile. The blooms are more delicate looking than the traditional mophead hydrangea and much loved by collectors and designers. Enjoy the lacy look and no worries, Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
