This was my mother’s, Ive had it approximately 10 years. When I got it, it was probably at least 10 years old and a normal size plant fitting nicely in a violet container. I have repeatedly repotted because it keeps outgrowing the container. Should I keep repotting to a larger container or just let it be? Also I have tried several times to grow the daughters some plants but they never survive, any suggestions?

Wow! That is one big, beautiful African Violet. I suggest you continue doing what you have always done over the last decade and keep repotting it. As for starting new plants, try taking a leaf and stem cutting instead removing the daughter plants. Place a cut leaf and stem into potting soil and cover or mist to keep the air humid. A bit of rooting hormone will help roots form fast. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
