What is this plant?
It’s just appeared this year and is taking over my lawn. It does not appear to be a flower although I thought it may have been a wild bloom.

My best guess is the wild violet. You should see tiny violet blooms in the spring unless you mow often. It loves moist soil. You may not like it in the lawn but some gardeners enjoy it as a groundcover. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
