Arborvitae snow damage
Can my Arborvitae be saved? Though we brushed the snow off of them, some of them look like this. Should we tie them up with the stretchy green tape? What is your suggestion?

Yes, tie up the bent but not broken branches with twine and cut off the branches that have snapped all the way through. You may want to leave the twine in place all year (I use green twine) to help the poor things hold up to next winter's snow fall. Don't worry the new growth will fill in the bare spots and your hedge should look fine in another season or two. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
