Thin out Star Jasmine
My Star Jasmine is over grown and it is too dense. Can you recommend a video that will show me the proper way to THIN out my Jasmine…it is on a 10” wall.

Well you have given me a good idea to make a video when I thin out my own jasmine. I do not know of one that has already been made. What I will do with mine is to check the main trunk or thickest branches at the base. Then snip out maybe one third of the side branches where they meet up with the main trunk. This means a long branch and many side branches will come out when you make these cuts. The goal is to thin out just a third or less of the jasmine. Do this on a cloudy day as once you remove branches the leaves they were shading will be susceptible to sun burn. Take your time and don't worry. Jasmine are pretty tough once established and as long as you only take out a third or less your plant will be fine. Now enjoy that sweet jasmine scent. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
