Yes! Camellias are shallow rooted shrubs that do great in large pots. They like morning sun and afternoon shade and plenty of water. Keep the soil moist. Camellias also like acid soil just like rhododendrons and azaleas. Add some peat moss to the potting soil up to one third peat to two thirds potting soil and fertilize each spring with a slow release plant food made for acid loving plants.
