Boxwoods

I want to landscape with the smallest boxwood . I get confused with all the variety . Are the Dwarf English boxwoods the smallest shrubs ? Or are there different ones ?I saw a winter gem that said mature hght was 2′ and the dwarf english says 3′ ???

I would recommend the True Dwarf  Boxwood Buxus sempervirens 'Suffruticosa' unless you live in a hot summer area with lime in the soil. You can control the size by pruning so it is more important to match the variety with your climate. A local nursery will be the best source of which boxwood adapt to your local conditions. In general boxwood are long lived and hardy shrubs so enjoy your new hedge. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
