Lilac – prune & transplant??

I have a young Lilac (6-8 yo?) that I planted too close to a Rhodie. Now that the lilac blossoms have faded, I’d like to prune & shape it but also move it further away from the Rhodie. Can I do all of that at once (now) or is it too much for the Lilac to handle? Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Prune and shape now that the flowers have faded but wait to transplant until the leaves have fallen off and the plant is dormant. You can move it in early spring as well. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
