Marianne's Response
fertilizer
month ago planted small garden – few tomatoes, squash, chard, beets, jalapeños. fertilized garden as well as “limed” the tomatoes. We are in NW Oregon and we have had A LOT OF RAIN the last couple of weeks. Will that much rain leach out the fertilizer from the garden soil requiring me to add a little more of those ingredients to help. Plants started out great, but sure would like some more sun. How about more nutrients?

If you used a slow release plant food then you do not need to feed again due to the rain. If you used a quick acting water soluable plant food then yes the veggies may need another application of plant food. Some heat loving plants just don't grow much when there is a lot of rain and cloudy days so they don't use as much plant food. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
