RKN infested soil

I have a small vegetable bed that is infested with root knot nematodes. I would like to remove some of the soil and add fresh soil and compost. Two questions – how deep should I dig to remove most of the nematodes, and can I reuse the infested soil on some low areas of a moss pathway I’m making which will be pretty far from the vegetable bed? Thank you!

I suggest you go down at least 24 inches as during dry months the nemotodes can sink down deep. The soil could be used for moss pathway far from veggies. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
