Oxalis is related to a native plant in the Pacific Northwest so it thrives in our lawns. Mowing shorter to clip off the blooms, adding extra lime to make the soil less acid and aerating to make the lawn drain sooner will help as will keeping your lawn fertilized so that it can grow thick and help to crowd out this invasive weeds.
