The small white blooms are a native bulb-like plant called Anemone nervosa and it spreads nicely all over my mostly shaded garden. There are several forms and colors of this lovely groundcover but it is not often sold at nurseries. The best place to buy them is from online bulb catalogs or plant sales of garden club members where they sell plants from their own gardens. The roots are more like a rhizome than a bulb and are not easy to sell as they dry out quickly if sold when dormant so buying plants in bloom is a good way to start a collection.
