Why are my Elephant ear plant turning white?
I just put my big elephant ear plant in fresh soil and new pot 4 days ago and moved it outside and notice 2 days ago the leaves are turning white and transparent. This plant didn’t do this last year. Why would this happen, would it possibly be a fungus? Sorry didnt take a picture of white leaf. Thank you.

It does not sound like a fungus to me. Instead it sounds like a cold night upset the newly planted Elephant Ear (also known as Taro and Clocasia). This tropical plant thrives in warm weather. The fact that the damage appeared quickly also makes me suspect a cold night. You can cut back the damaged foliage and once the weather warms or when the plant adjusts to a colder environment you should see new growth arise from the tubers. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
