Drip irrigation and osmocote plus for potted fig trees
Hi,
I’m growing fig trees in 7 to 10 gallon pots (I keep them small), and other smallish fruit trees also in 7 to 10 gallon pots, and use Osmocote Plus as the fertilizer.
About 3 weeks ago I setup a drip irrigation system using spot emitters and I deliver the water using angled barbed dripper stake (see attached photo). The water does get delivered to the pot, and the soil does get damp all around. However, I’m worrying that this method of watering will not be adequate for the Osmocote to properly release the fertilizers.
Could you help me with this problem? Will this method of delivering the irrigation water work with Osmocote Plus, or do I need to change to some other method?
Thanks for any help you can give me on this matter!
