Treating yards with lime
How do I know how much lime and how often I need to add it? I have the typical shady NW yard and want to rid it of moss. Also, does the type of lime matter?

Follow the application instructions on the bag of lime or Super Sweet calcium to make your soil less acid and discourage moss. Most acid soils can be improved with two applications a year but a soil test will show if you just how acid your soil is after several applications. I like the granulated lime as it does not drift in the wind and is easier to apply. It will take several years to change the ph of the soil using lime. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
