If you are looking for low growing groundcovers around the azaleas than ajuga, lungwort and coredalis will do fine in full sun as long as the soil stays moist. Azaleas love a moist soil full of organic matter and so does woodland plants Lady\'s mantle and huechera. If you were thinking of shrubs next to the azaleas than the dwarf magic carpet spiraea gets my vote as this summer blooming shrub has spectacular golden spring foliage tipped in red and you can shear it back if it starts to interfere with the azaleas. You may want to consider the color of the azaleas blooms and coordinate the groundcover to that. Just be sure the low growing plants don\'t start to smother the azalea after a few years.
