Aloe Plant Problem

My Aloe plant, which has always grown well, has these clumpy growths on the tips (instead of the typical orange blooms). Any idea what’s causing this?

Marianne's Response

Would your Aloe plants be crowded by any chance? Sometimes if a plant has no room for the roots it will send up a distorted bloom in an effort to make seeds and make a fresh start someplace else. I suggest you dig up the Aloe and remove half the plants then refresh the soil and plant the healthiest looking plants back into the fresh soil. With more room for the roots your Aloe will go back to making orange blooms. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
