No - so glad you asked. An herbicide used on lawn weeds may not be safe for liriope as this groundcover is not really a grass - it is a member of the lily family. Better to hand weed this area and to make the job easier do the dirty deed after a heavy rains storm. Better to get to it right away before those weeds flower and go to seed. You may want to break up the job into smaller sections and accomplish just one weed free section at a time until the entire bed is free of weeds. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
