Thank you for sending the photo. The damage shown on the plant is not from ants. It looks like slug or snail damage. You may not see the guilty critters as they only feed at night. Put out slug bait or go slug hunting with a flashlight  and you should see an end to your problem.  Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
