Yes, all plants like a good drink after planting to settle in the soil around the roots and to help them to recover from the transplant operation or planting process. In some places where rain is expected soon gardeners can get away with not watering and just let the rain do the job but for container gardens I always recommend watering after planting anything.  Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
