avocado care
hello, I’m new in this group, I have been growing an avocado tree and a mango tree, both of them I still have been growing inside, but they’re getting too big and I’m scared of planting them outside, we live in the dirty south lol Tennessee, can anyone give me any information on care or if it’s possible to grow an avocado and mango tree in this part of the world

First, welcome to Planters Place. Next, the easy answer to your question is no. Your avocado and your mango tree need warm winter temperatures to survive which means zones 8 - 11. It gets too cold in Tennessee for these to survive outdoors. You can enjoy both plants as summer patio specimens and just move them indoors for the winter. You can keep these plants smaller by pruning them in the spring by one third of their height. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
