Avocado tree
Hi I have a avocado tree that we recently took from a pot and planted into ground. It’s about 5 feet, being watered everyday, full sun daily, we live in Houston, TX.
I noticed on day before yesterday that the tree had holes on the majority of the leaves, tips were a little ruffled and darkened.
Can you please tell me how to treat this, I really want to try and save my tree.
I’ve had it now over a couple of years and would like to see it bear fruit.
Thank you,
Thelma

The damage to your avocado tree looks to be yellow foliage either from lack of fertilizer or the weather (too cold at night?) and the small holes could be flea beetles, earwigs or a larvae such as a caterpillar. None of these problems are life threatening and I suggest you give the plant some Osmocote plant food following instructions on the package and seek beneath the leaves and in the soil for any worm like larvae. As the weather warms up I expect some guacamole in your future. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
