Tips for growing tomatoes
My tomato plant seems to be too thick with leaves and not many blooms. What do you suggest?

Are the leaves dark green? This could be a sign of too much nitrogen or even too much shade. Use a complete fertilizer like Osmocote that has a balanced mix of nitrogen for leaf growth but also potassium and phosphorous for roots and fruit. Manures are great for improving the soil, but they are often high in nitrogen and lacking in the nutrients needed for fruit production. If you are trying to grow tomatoes in a shaded area, move the plant now to a hot and sunny spot. It will be delighted with the sunshine and you'll enjoy sweet rewards. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
