Marianne's Response
Removing succulents from a crowded pot
I have a pot that is so crammed with succulents that I cannot figure out how to get them out without tearing them up. Do you have any advice?

Yes, just tear them out. Use a knife if necessary but succulents are tough plants and even if you slice them out they will survive and reroot in fresh soil. To remove plants from a crowded pot first water well, slide a knife between the pot and root ball to loosen and turn pot upside down and give the rim a sharp rap. If the entire rootball does not slide out you will need to do surgery and extract the sedums with the knife. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
