How to determine what is eating potato plants
Marianne,
Something IS EATING THE LEAVES ON MY POTATO PLANTS.
A bug or aphid or something. Is there any kind of dust or spray that you could recommend to help alleviate this issue?
Thanks
Bill

First you must identify the enemy. Try placing a wad of damp newspaper at the base of the plant and see if slugs, snails, earwigs or sow bugs crawl in after a couple of nights. Stomp on the culprits. Also look under the leaves for a small green worm-like larvae. Squish with your fingers. A strong jet of water to wash the leaves may also help to dislodge whatever is bugging your potatoes.
