Marianne's Response
Why is my key lime plant dropping leaves when I bring it in for winter?
Hello Marianne, I have enjoyed my key lime plant for several years. It has produced many key limes. I brought it inside before the first frost. The leaves have all fallen off. I have fertilized and watered. It does not appear to be dead. Any suggestions?

Just wait. I do not know why your lime dropped its leaves but this sometimes happens during the dark winter months. In another month or so you may be surprised to see new growth coming from the tips of the branches. Do not fertilize any more unless you use a slow release plant food like Osmocote. Too much plant food can shock a potted plant. Move the plant to where it gets maximum sunlight during the winter months and I expect your key lime to be making a big comeback this summer.
Keep growing,
