There are many types of begonias and some are grown indoors and others outdoors. If you send me a photo I can tell you what type of begonia you have. In general these tropical plants need filtered shade, rich fast draining soil and enough moisture to keep the roots moist but not wet. They need moderate humidity so do not do well in hot dry climates. Some grow from bulbs or tubers that can be saved over winter and all are easy to propagate from cuttings.
